43 Government and Support Agencies Review the Most Prominent Climate Impacts on the Holy Sites

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) is organizing tomorrow morning (Thursday) at its headquarters in Jeddah, a scientific workshop entitled (Climate Impact in Hajj 1445 AH) to review the most prominent climatic effects on the holy sites, with the participation of the concerned government and field authorities working during the Hajj season.

The workshop aims to inform the participating entities of the latest climate reports, weather forecasts, scenarios and implications, in addition to joint coordination with government and field agencies working during the Hajj season, to contribute to the speed of taking the necessary measures to deal with the expected weather phenomena and benefit from climate information, within the framework of raising the readiness and readiness of the center for this year's Hajj work.

During the Hajj season every year, the center works to harness all modern capabilities and equipment to support its work, which relies on the latest technologies and modern meteorological programs, represented by observatories at the level of the Kingdom, weather radars, satellite images, and the Saudi numerical model, in addition to manned observatories, mobile automatic stations in the Holy Sites, the Two Holy Mosques, and the integrated operations room in Mina, which works around the clock to achieve the maximum accuracy in the center's expectations to serve the beneficiaries and pilgrims of the Holy House.

The center also mobilizes its media and awareness energies during the Hajj season of every year through a media center that works around the clock to serve the media and governmental and non-governmental agencies, where it provides its awareness programs to the pilgrims of the Holy House of God and broadcasts daily weather bulletins, in addition to awareness messages in several languages to help the pilgrims of the House of God and the entities working to manage their movement within the holy sites in taking the appropriate measures in the weather, in addition to managing equipment and techniques to raise readiness and launch a special window for weather information, with a contract Early partnerships with the sectors concerned with the management and organization of the work of the pilgrims of the Holy House of God in the Holy Sites to provide early meteorological and climatic information and prepare executive and operational plans.
