The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) participated yesterday in the activities of the Saudi Infrastructure Summit, which will be held in the capital Riyadh for two days, within the framework of enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences between various actors in the infrastructure sector.
The CEO of the National Center of Meteorology, Dr. Ayman bin Salem Ghulam, expressed the importance of this partnership in supporting the infrastructure plans in the Kingdom, pointing out that the cooperation with the Infrastructure Projects Center in the Riyadh region represents a major step towards developing advanced and effective monitoring systems that contribute to achieving the sustainability of projects and providing a safe and healthy environment for the community.
On the other hand, the center signed a memorandum of understanding with the Infrastructure Projects Center in Riyadh Region, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation between the two parties to benefit from climatic and meteorological information and data related to the work of infrastructure related entities in the Riyadh region.
The areas of cooperation include providing available meteorological data and information, providing guidance recommendations for infrastructure projects, promoting meteorological culture with regard to the implementation of infrastructure projects in the Riyadh region through the meteorological services provided, in addition to providing the National Center of Meteorology as an official source of meteorological services related to infrastructure projects.
