The Center participates in the "Environment Week" with an interactive exhibition

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) is participating in the Environment Week 2024 exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture from Sunday, April 28 to Saturday, May 4, under the slogan "Know Your Environment?" with the aim of spreading community environmental awareness and achieving environmental sustainability.

Through its participation in an interactive exhibition, the center will review the work of its regional centers and programs, represented by the Regional Center for Warning of Dust and Sand Storms, the Regional Center for Climate Change and the Regional Program for Cloud Raining, which aim to enhance environmental performance in the Kingdom, and represent an important reference that reflects the Kingdom's leadership in preserving and sustaining the environment in accordance with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The "Environment Week" showcases the Kingdom's continuous efforts to raise the level of social responsibility among all segments of society, as the exhibition contributes to motivating them to adhere to the correct behaviors towards proper dealing with the environment, in addition to spreading knowledge about the most prominent environmental issues and ways to confront and deal with them.

It is noteworthy that the Environment Week is a national occasion approved by the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (455) dated 22/8/1439 AH, with the aim of raising the awareness of all members of society in various regions of the Kingdom about their local environments and the correct environmental behaviors that must be practiced to preserve the Kingdom's natural resources, in order to achieve environmental sustainability, in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
