The Center Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Saline Water Conversion Corporation

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) on Tuesday in Riyadh, with the aim of facilitating and enhancing national cooperation between the two sides in common bilateral fields, on the sidelines of the Saudi Water Forum

The Center was represented in the signing of the MoU by the CEO Dr. Ayman bin Salem Ghulam, and on behalf of the Corporation, His Excellency the Governor, Eng. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Abed, where the areas of cooperation included the provision of data and information for meteorology and marine meteorology in the geographical scope of the Corporation and its projects, and the provision or installation of meteorological systems and devices in the geographical scope of the Corporation and the provision of the necessary sites for them, in addition to working on developing the electronic linkage mechanism in terms of meteorological information to obtain the necessary information for operational operations, and providing data real-time and historical meteorology of owned meteorological stations, and discussed ways of cooperation on sharing infrastructure solutions to process artificial intelligence and big data models using advanced computing technologies."

Through the MoU, the two sides seek to enhance the means of joint national cooperation in the design and establishment of the Foundation's systems and units, and in implementation of the High Directives on the importance of the cooperation of official authorities to conduct studies, training programs and initiatives implemented by various government agencies to advance the knowledge economy and achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and everything related to sustainable development in the fields of meteorology.
