The CEO of the National Center of Meteorology, Dr. Ayman bin Salem Ghulam, headed today, the Kingdom's delegation and the work of the thirty-ninth meeting of the Arab Standing Committee for Meteorology, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, with the participation of representatives of Arab member states.
In his speech during the meeting, Dr. Ghulam stressed the importance of activating the committee as a coordination platform among member states, which contributes to unifying visions and integrating efforts to face climate challenges, and activating joint Arab action on solid scientific and institutional foundations, pointing out that the Kingdom, through its chairmanship of the committee's work, is working to enhance technical cooperation, exchange of experiences, and build national capacities in line with the rapid transformations in the meteorological and climate sector, contribute to protecting lives and property, and supporting sustainable development efforts in the Arab world.
