The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) in Jeddah organized an awareness exhibition on Tuesday as part of the Security, Safety and Facilities Forum, as part of the strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education to enhance awareness of weather and climate information.
During their visit to the exhibition, the students of schools affiliated to the General Directorate of Education in Jeddah were briefed on the interactive and awareness pillars of the center's pavilion, which focused on the importance of meteorological information in the safety of lives and property, and the proper handling of weather phenomena, through simplified scientific content and modern visual media.
The activities also included introducing the services provided by the center and ways to benefit from them, in addition to field awareness activities, and educational pillars aimed at building early awareness among young people about the importance of weather and climate in daily life.
This participation comes as an extension of the Center's efforts in community awareness and supporting the education sector with qualitative initiatives that contribute to raising meteorological awareness, in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
