The CEO of the National Center of Meteorology, Dr. Ayman bin Salem Ghulam, was briefed on the plan to launch the requirements of the meteorological system, and the readiness of the concerned departments of the center to start implementing the system, including the issuance of licenses and permits, monitoring violations and applying the penalties contained therein.
During the meeting, which included the directors of the concerned departments of the center, Dr. Ghulam stressed the importance of ensuring the effective implementation of the requirements of the system, and enhancing the role of the center in organizing and controlling activities related to meteorology and climate in accordance with the approved standards, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of the services provided and achieving the development goals of the Kingdom.
The launch of the Meteorological System Requirements comes within the framework of the National Center of Meteorology's efforts to enhance the governance of the sector, develop monitoring and weather forecast services, and ensure the optimal use of climate data, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in the fields of sustainability and climate.
