The Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture sponsors the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Meteorology and the National Center for Palm and Dates on the sidelines of the Saudi Agricultural Exhibition

His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture sponsored the Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today (Monday) in Riyadh The National Center of Meteorology and the National Center for Palms and Dates, on the sidelines of the exhibition Saudi Agriculture Competition 2025, held from October 20 to 23.
The MoU was signed by the National Center of Meteorology, Eng. Ayman bin Bakr Shouri. Director General of the General Administration of Business Development, and on behalf of the National Center for Palm and Dates Mr. Abdullah Al-Yahya, Director of the Office of Strategic Partnerships and International Cooperation.
The MoU aims to unify efforts, exchange experiences and benefit from potential available to both parties, to achieve a common vision that translates the aspirations of the wise leadership, may God protect it. Towards excellence and innovation in the fields of technology and environmental sustainability.
Areas of cooperation between the two sides include data exchange and climate studies. Developing technical meteorological services and guidance recommendations, in addition to supporting monitoring operations Prediction and early warning, and enhancing technical integration through the establishment of electronic communication channels Exchange of Information and Services.
The MoU also includes the implementation of joint field and research projects to measure the impact of rainfall Drawing on the productivity of palms and the quality of dates, and studying climate changes on the environment in addition to cooperation in the fields of awareness, information and training in order to support the Sustainable Agricultural Development.
The signing of this memorandum comes as part of the efforts of the National Center of Meteorology and the National Center for Palm and Dates in Strengthening Strategic Partnerships and Institutional Integration, in a way that supports The palm and date sector in the Kingdom, and contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 towards A thriving environment and a sustainable economy.
