The Ministry of Meteorology invites influencers and those interested in weather and climate to participate in the second coordination meeting in Jeddah

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has invited those interested in weather and climate to register and participate in the second coordination meeting for those interested in weather and climate, which will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at its headquarters in Jeddah Governorate, as part of the "Hawi" initiative.

The meeting aims to enhance direct communication with influencers and those interested in weather and climate, and to inform them about the most prominent works of the National Center of Meteorology, its national initiatives and specialized programs, in addition to reviewing the available opportunities for cooperation in the dissemination of reliable weather and climate information and enhancing community awareness in this field.

The organization of the meeting comes as part of the Center's efforts to activate the "Amateur" initiative launched by it to enable amateurs and those interested in weather and climate to benefit from its services and awareness and training programs, and to enhance their participation in related initiatives and activities, in a way that contributes to raising the level of community awareness and spreading meteorological and climate culture.

The meeting will also witness the launch of the "Amateur" membership for those interested in weather and climate, to benefit from the programs, activities and initiatives provided by the center, and to enhance their participation in awareness and training events related to meteorological and climate affairs.

The center stressed that the meeting represents a platform for communication and exchange of experiences and ideas between specialists, amateurs and influencers, in a way that supports the dissemination of accurate information from official sources, and enhances awareness of weather and climatic phenomena and raises the level of community readiness towards them, calling on those wishing to participate to take the initiative to register and benefit from the programs and introductory tours accompanying the meeting.
