The CEO of the National Center of Meteorology, Dr. Ayman bin Salem Ghulam, today made an inspection tour of the Riyadh Observatory, as part of a comprehensive program to rehabilitate meteorological observatories in various regions of the Kingdom, with the aim of developing the business and enhancing the readiness of the observatories to comply with the new plans and strategies of the center.
During the tour, Dr. Ghulam was briefed on the Observatory's future plans and the most prominent challenges, stressing the importance of coordination and integration between departments and departments to ensure the provision of accurate and reliable services that meet the needs of all beneficiary sectors.
Dr. Ghulam stressed that the project to rehabilitate the observatory buildings comes within the commitment of the National Center of Meteorology to modernize its infrastructure to enhance its operational capabilities, achieve a qualitative leap in improving the quality of work and programs, and improve the accuracy of weather forecasts, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, pointing out that the center relies on the latest technologies to enhance the accuracy of monitoring and develop its work and services.
He pointed to the vital role played by the Riyadh Observatory in monitoring and analyzing weather phenomena, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made by the Observatory's employees, and their prominent role in implementing development programs that contribute to raising the operational efficiency of the Observatory.
