The Ministry of Meteorology: Below-average rainfall and a slight rise in temperatures over Makkah and Medina during Ramadan 1447 AH

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued the preliminary outlook of the climate forecast for the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH on the regions of Makkah and Madinah, including rainfall and temperatures during the holy month.
The center explained that the expected amounts of rainfall will be lower than the normal average for both Makkah and Madinah, as the normal average of rainfall in Makkah is about 4.2 mm, and in Madinah about 4.3 mm, and these rains are classified as light rains if they fall. The report indicated that the expected temperatures will be higher than their normal averages during the month of Ramadan, while the maximum expected rise will be one degree Celsius on Makkah and 1.2 degrees Celsius on Madinah.

The center pointed out that the normal temperature during the month of Ramadan is about 26.8 degrees Celsius in Makkah and about 23.1 degrees Celsius in Madinah. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) confirmed that these forecasts come within the framework of its continuous efforts to provide seasonal weather information, which contributes to supporting the concerned authorities, raising the level of readiness, and serving the pilgrims of the Two Holy Mosques during the holy month, calling for the follow-up of the periodic reports and updates issued by it through its official channels, and for more details on the report of the climate forecast for the cities of Makkah and Madinah during the holy month of Ramadan, see the following link:
